He is Gone by David Harkins.
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live in.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Warwick was the organiser and Treasurer of the Bromley branch of Conquest Art from 1990 to 2001. Conquest Art aims to inspire people living with disability or long term health issues to discover their creative energy and build self-confidence through art. Warwick and Betty were both very hands-on with the Bromley group. Betty would bake cakes to serve as afternoon refreshments and together with other volunteers would encourage disabled adults to find and conquer their artistic talents.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
